MSc in Science, Media and Communication

Techniquest runs a module on Presenting Science as part of Cardiff University’s MSc in Science, Media and Communication in collaboration with the Cardiff School of Social Sciences and the School of Journalism, Media and Cultural Studies. The one-year, full-time course provides students with an interdisciplinary approach to science communication. It develops strong theoretical skills, but also includes key practical skills with students learning how to present Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths (STEM) in different contexts to different audiences.

Students undertake six modules. The Presenting Science module is taught by Techniquest’s Presenter, Trainer, Evaluator Team. The module provides training and practical experience in developing and presenting STEM activities to a range of audiences. In addition to the taught module, students may undertake the research for their dissertation at Techniquest.
