mathcymru
mathcymru is a Wales-wide initiative to promote the teaching of mathematics in schools. Techniquest receives funding from the Welsh Government to support mathcymru and this year it is offering fully-funded Maths outreach services from Techniquest to more schools across Wales than ever before. We want your school to benefit!
mathcymru focuses mainly on pupils at Foundation Phase, KS2 and KS3, but it also has a broader aim to make Maths accessible and enjoyable for people of all ages. As part of the initiative, Techniquest develops resources to assist schools in their teaching of the Curriculum for Wales, both in its centre in Cardiff Bay and in schools across Wales. It also organises roadshows, interactive workshops, competitions and activities around Wales, all of which are offered free of charge. In addition, mathcymru provides funding for schools to develop and run their own Maths projects.
Techniquest would be delighted to hear from any school in Wales interested in accessing mathcymru support for these services, particularly schools in less-advantaged areas.
