What's available for Foundation Phase and KS2 in the Summer Term

KS2
Spectacular demonstrations help bring science to life in a range of shows for KS2 pupils. Each show supports the KS2 Curriculum for Wales.
After a lively presentation in the Science Theatre, pupils take what they’ve learnt out onto the main exhibition floor for a session of self-directed learning and discovery. The pupils are armed with a series of key words and phrases about the topic, to help them decide which of the 120 interactive exhibits they should explore first.

For Foundation Phase, there’s a BRAND NEW spectacular series of programmes, each covering the seven areas of learning. The programme consists of a show, time on Techniquest’s exhibition floor, plus pre- and post- visit materials.
Choose from: Fairy Tales 29-31 May, or At The Seaside 10-13 July
For Foundation phase and KS2 teachers are provided with digital cameras to record their pupils’ activities on the exhibition floor. Techniquest downloads these images onto a memory stick – which includes resource materials – to facilitate further learning linked to the visit back in the classroom.

Techniquest is offering schools the opportunity to book KS2 Challenge Workshops or Starlab at your school for an amazing price of just £25 per session.
To take advantage of this special offer, FOUR sessions of a selected Challenge Workshop or SIX Starlab sessions in one day must be booked.
The four Challenge Workshops cost £100 + VAT (usual price £195 + VAT).
The six Starlab sessions cost £150 + VAT (usual price £265 + VAT).

Starlab is a mobile inflatable planetarium that brings the stars to your school.
