Techniquest has worked with a huge variety of organisations to develop over 700 original, engaging and memorable exhibits. Successful collaborations have resulted in spectacular exhibits based at Techniquest, engaging educational outreach Kits operated both by Techniquest and by partner organisations, innovative educational programmes and much more. Techniquest’s partners have contributed to the development of these resources through generous support in the form of funding, expertise and other resources, and Techniquest is always keen to work with new individuals and organisations to further its mission.
In addition to its expertise in exhibit design and build, Techniquest’s team of educational programme developers have experience in producing a huge range of material, including public and schools shows, workshops, educational support materials, and websites.
Exhibits
Techniquest’s exhibition is regarded as one of the best collections of science phenomena interactives in the world. Drawn from a collection of over 700 exhibits, the exhibition is constantly being updated and refreshed, ensuring it always provides an exciting, innovative experience for 180,000 visitors per year. Working with supporters and partners the exhibits communicate key messages in a memorable and engaging way which cannot be achieved through conventional media.
Techniquest designs and builds its own exhibits at its workshop in Cardiff. The team of skilled technicians has been developing some of the best interactive exhibits in the world for more than 20 years, and examples of their work can be found in science centres all over the UK, Europe, Asia, the USA and Australia.
Techniquest’s exhibits are built according to a tried and tested regime of prototyping and development prior to final detailed design, manufacture, fit out and commissioning. They are grounded in a thorough understanding of our audience, and through our knowledge of our visitors.
