The image of Wales in history is of coal, iron, farming, fishing – all industries requiring a solid knowledge of STEM subjects. There is greater diversity in modern Wales…companies are still involved in producing energy, and food, but there are also firms specialising in different types of manufacture, research and services.
Techniquest has been working with schools and the public for more than twenty years, making STEM subjects accessible to all. It is now using this experience to provide a one-stop information point for STEM providers in Wales, as contract holder for STEMNET – the organisation which aims to draw more people into STEM related careers.
