Techniquest is a venue you’ll remember. Our architecturally acclaimed building is located close to the Senedd and Wales Millennium Centre, and commands impressive views of Cardiff Bay. It provides an imaginative setting for formal or informal occasions, amid more than 120 hands-on science exhibits.
Techniquest has proved to be the ideal venue for all types of events, from award ceremonies to staff social events, seminars to wedding receptions, plus many more besides. The exhibition hall can be adapted to provide a stage area, and to display branding and decorations to suit individual organizations. The Science Theatre offers an easy presenting space which will put even the most nervous speaker at ease. It is fully equipped with excellent audio-visual facilities for up to 100 guests.
Techniquest can also offer a range of services to make your event the talk of the town. Enthral your guests with some of our science busking, get the grey cells working with exhibit challenges, or relax under the stars in our state-of-the-art digital Planetarium.

With over 15 years of experience, our in house caterers, Cafe Quest, offer catering options which are as memorable as the venue itself. From hand-made canapés, to home-cooked dishes, there is something to suit every palate... and every budget. Fully catered sit-down meals can be provided for up to 100 guests, and buffets for up to 300.
By choosing Techniquest as the venue for your event, you are not only guaranteed an occasion you’ll remember, but you are also helping to support the important work we do as a charity.
Every year, we work with more than 40,000 school children at our Cardiff Bay site, and an additional 60,000 plus school children around Wales at their schools. We also work with community groups and attend community events throughout the Principality. Our aim is to engage people with science, technology, engineering and maths, and inspire them to learn more.
