Home Educator days
A series of six dates for Home Educators has been arranged. For more information and bookings call 029 20 475 476.
October 9 - part of Wales Maths Week: Mama Mia Maths (KS2 - age 7 - 11) in the Science Theatre; Space Hopping (KS2) in the Planetarium; plus extra maths activities in the exhibition area.
November 12: Joining Forces (KS2) in Science Theatre; Technology Workshop (KS2 - extra £1.50 charge to cover cost of materials) in Laboratory.
December 16: Prince Boris (nursery to age 7) in Science Theatre; Living in Space (KS2) in Planetarium.
January 21: Science explorers (KS2) in Science Theatre; Our Place in Space (KS2) in Planetarium; Science from the Toybox (age 5 - 6) in the Laboratory.
March 19: Materials (KS2) in Science Theatre; Rainbows (age 5 - 6) in Planetarium; Ourselves (age 5 - 7) in Laboratory.
April 28: Gran Designs (KS2) in Science Theatre; Mo Mo Forest (age 5 - 6) Planetarium; Earth Science Workshop (KS2) Laboratory.
Programme of Events for Home Educators
Home Educators are welcome to visit Techniquest at any time. However, there are two ways to participate in Techniquest's education programme.
- Join a school group to attend a Science Theatre show.
- Participate in our family education events during weekends and school holidays.
Science Theatre Shows
Home learners are also welcome to attend Science Theatre shows alongside school groups, but we do ask that the children attending be within the age group for the show on offer.
Please book places beforehand on 029 20 475 476.
Cost £3.90 per child, accompanying adult free.
Your visit will include time to visit Techniquest's hands-on exhibition area.
Family Education Events
During weekends and school holidays a whole programme of events are on offer: Science Theatre shows, planetarium shows and workshops.
These events cannot be pre-booked.
