Code of Conduct
Group leaders are requested to prepare for the visit by explaining the Techniquest code of conduct:
- While in Techniquest, please walk from place to place. If you run there is a danger to yourself and others – especially small children.
- Shopping at Techniquest is an organised process! You may only use the shop when your teacher/group leader tells you, or when your group is called up for shopping.
- We place great importance on courtesy and good manners to other visitors. Please show consideration at all times. Insulting or racist remarks to other visitors, and aggressive behaviour of any kind are totally unacceptable. Such behaviour will be reported back to group organisers so that action may be taken against the offender.
- Food and drink may only be consumed in the cafeteria or in the designated area which you have been given by the Techniquest staff.
- No-one is allowed to smoke in the Techniquest building – even in the toilets! We have a very sensitive detector system which calls the fire brigade automatically, and we reserve the right to pass on the cost of unnecessary call-outs.
Thank you for your understanding. We know that the vast majority of our visitors do not need reminding of these things, so please do not let the few spoil it for the many.
