Bubbles and Blasts

Back by popular demand! Find out why bubbles are round and see if it ís possible to make a square bubble. Be part of a giant bubble and see bubbles on fire. This show is sure to end with a blast!

It's Electric

Join in the fun and see sparks fly in our interactive hair-raising show about electricity. How can you generate electricity using a balloon? What links the balloon to photocopiers and Lightning? Become a part of a giant circuit and hope there’s not too much resistance for it.

This show will run from 25 February until 1 April at weekends.

Winter Skies

Winter is a great time for viewing stars, but what will you see if you wrap up warm and take a look? We’ll take you on a tour to find some of the most famous winter constellations and find out why these stars can’t be seen at any other time of the year.
Suitable for over 7s.

Fancy going on a holiday to Mars? Find out how long it would take you, what equipment you would need and who you might meet.

After Hours

March 1st sees the launch of our adult only evenings After Hours. Entry will be free and there will be a host of activities taking place from Open mic, Techniquest’s Pub Quiz and more in the main exhibition.
There will be a fully licensed bar with snacks and food available.
Join us from 7pm until 10pm for a truly unique night in a truly unique Cardiff venue.

Animal Weekend

Wild about wildlife? Obsessed with owls? Then Techniquest is the place to be on 26 and 27 May for a weekend of animal magic.

There will be owls, snakes, fish and more as well as all the usual attractions on the exhibition floor.
