Exhibit: Wiggly Wire

Pass the hoop of the wand carefully over the wire without touching the electrical conductors and sounding the alarm. Time yourself to see how fast you can go, or race your friend on the opposite side. Find the insulators along the way for a few moments safety.  A circuit is a continuous flow of electricity from a power supply along connecting wires to a component, such as a light or a buzzer, and back to the power supply.  Electricity can only flow around unbroken circuits.  In Wiggly Wire a circuit is completed when the wand touches the metal tube.  This closes the circuit, makes the counter rise and the buzzer sound.  See if you can complete the circuit with as little sound as possible.
