Extreme Earth
Spend some time with us exploring earth, wind and fire in a world full of extremes, from the comfort and safety of your seat in this live science show.
What’s so wild about wildfires? How do tornadoes work? Why does lightning spark across the skies? What’s lovely about lava? When the earth moves, how can we make buildings and the people inside them safe?
Discover all this and more as we journey across the globe to find out why wild things happen when you live on a planet that’s spinning at a thousand miles an hour, with a molten core, a thin layer of gasses to protect it from the vacuum of space — and an ever-changing climate to add to the mix!

Tickets to this show can be purchased when you buy admission to Techniquest. Once you’ve added your admission tickets, you will be given options to book this as an add-on.

Medical considerations
If you have pacemaker or other implanted medical device, we will advise you to sit towards the back of the Science Theatre as one of the demonstrations generates an electrical field, which may affect some devices.
If you are a wheelchair user and you also have pacemaker or other implanted medical device, unfortunately we would not be able to admit you to this particular show, as the wheelchair spaces in the Science Theatre are very close to the stage.
