Energy is an awesome thing — it’s all around us and takes a huge variety of forms.
It makes things change and move, and when you start thinking about all the things we use different types of energy for in our daily lives, it’s a very long list…
Join us as we discover how energy that’s stored in food gets used by our bodies, how it’s used more widely in the modern world to make things work, and watch from a safe distance as we deliver some extremely explosive demonstrations with fire and gases.
We’ll be unleashing all kinds of energy in this exciting show, so be prepared!

Our live science show presenters adapt to the audience in front of them, so anyone from 5 to 95 should find plenty to engage with!
You may not find the live demos as relevant for under-5s, but please check with staff before booking if you’re unsure.

Please note that every show ticket must be booked in conjunction with a valid admissions ticket. Availability is limited, so the best way to guarantee your space is to book in advance.

There is a loud bang at the end of this show. Ear defenders will be given out before the show starts, and plenty of warnings will be given before the bang.

Take a seat in our 90-person tiered auditorium, where our engaging presenter will show you some incredible experiments.
Depending on the show, they could involve ferocious fire, crazy chemicals, exciting explosions or ridiculous rocket launches!
