Enjoy some delicious treats at Coffee Mania when you visit. It’s just next door to our main entrance and can also be reached through Techniquest’s main foyer.
Serving tasty snacks, snazzy packed-lunch boxes for children, mouthwatering cakes and a wide variety of hot and cold drinks — including gluten-free and vegan options — it’s the perfect place to take a break from exploring the exhibits, or just a great place to meet up with friends.
And don’t worry about having to leave Techniquest to grab that tempting coffee and cake… as long as you keep your entry wristband on, you’ll be able to re-enter and continue your visit after your break.
You don’t need a ticket to Techniquest to enjoy Coffee Mania either — just pop in next time you’re down the bay. Check their website to find out when they’re open.
Picnic area
Food and drink aren’t generally allowed on the main exhibition floor at Techniquest, to protect the exhibits from accidental damage.
However, there is a designated picnic area which you’ll find marked on the wayfinder map, near to the show portal at the west end of the building, where you’re welcome to consume your own food and drink whenever you need to.
Water stations
We know it can get warm inside Techniquest, particularly in the summer months, so we’ve installed two water stations to help you stay hydrated: one on the ground floor near the cloakroom, and one upstairs near the Role Play Area.
Mermaid Quay
If you’re looking for more a more substantial meal when you’re visiting us, you’ll find a host of different restaurants at Mermaid Quay, just a few steps away from Techniquest.
