Privacy notice

We, Aardman Animations Limited, take your privacy very seriously. We explain below how we and our event partners use and protect photographs and recordings of you and/or your child (the content), along with your other personal data.

  • Extent of processing — as well as the content, we and our event partners also collect and process the personal data that you provide on this form, i.e. your name, email address and age (or if you are a parent or guardian, your name and email address). You may also provide us or our event partners with other personal details from time to time.
  • Identity, contact details and privacy policies of data controllers — we, Aardman Animations Limited, are the controller of all personal data that we hold about you. Our event partners are also controllers of all personal data that they hold about you. We have legal agreements in place with our event partners which govern how we use and share your personal data between us, and also how we respond to queries from you about the use of your personal data.

  • Use of data for the purposes — we and our event partners may use your personal data for the purposes outlined in section 2 of the “Image release” form. In doing so, we and our event partners process your personal data on the basis of your consent, which you provide by signing the form above and ticking the relevant boxes in section 4 of the form.
  • Use of data for the other purposes — we and our event partners may also process your personal data where permitted or required by law (such as where it would be necessary to comply with a legal obligation) [or where it is in our or their legitimate interests to do so (for example, in the case of promotional materials that have already been published at a time when you had consented to the inclusion of content in such materials)] (other purposes, for short).
  • Retention of data — unless you withdraw your consent earlier (which you are free to do so as indicated below and in section 3 of the form above), we will retain the content for three (3) years after it is created. After three (3) years, the content will be deleted [unless and to the extent it is considered to be of historical importance to us or our event partners, in which case we will retain it as part of our archive].
  • Sharing of data — your personal data may be shared with us by our event partners, and also by us with them [, with our affiliated companies, and with our and our affiliates’ distributors and promoters], which may also use your personal data for the purposes and the other purposes.   • Your rights, including your right to withdraw consent — depending on the circumstances, you may have a number of rights in relation to your personal data, such as the rights of access to and rectification or erasure of personal data, the right to restrict processing, the right to object to processing and the right to data portability.

    You can also withdraw your consent to the use of your personal data at any time. Please note that withdrawing your consent would not affect (a) the lawfulness of any processing carried out before you withdraw your consent, or (b) any ongoing use of your personal data where the use is in accordance with the other purposes described above.
