Join us for a show of thrilling science demonstrations, using simple household equipment, that you should definitely not try at home!

If you’d like to see how to make a bazooka from a vacuum cleaner, or a custard powered flame thrower, this is the show for you!

9.30am–4.30pm Tuesday–Friday; 10.00am–5.00pm Saturday and Sunday.

We are closed on Mondays during school term time, but we open on Bank Holiday Mondays, and on Mondays during local school holidays.

Techniquest has easy wheelchair access, including a lift, to all parts of the building as well as a disabled toilet.

Hearing loop systems and a portable induction loop are available for use.

Disabled badge holders may park on the forecourt.

Techniquest is in Stuart Street, close to Mermaid Quay, in Cardiff Bay. There are regular train services from Cardiff (Queen Street) to Cardiff Bay, and Cardiff Bus services 6 (the BayCar) stops nearby, and 8 stop right outside

If you're travelling by car, our postcode is CF10 5BW. Leave the M4 at junction 33 and follow the brown signs for Cardiff Bay.
