Human Resources Officer & Clerk to the Board

Position: Full time (35 hours per week)
Salary: £21,000–£23,000 pa dependent on experience
Reporting to: Business Services Director

Techniquest is a leading science discovery centre with a world-wide reputation for excellence and innovation. Our vision is to transform Techniquest into an exciting contemporary hub for audiences to engage with STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, maths). Join us as we embark on our Science Capital project which encompasses an extension of Techniquest’s building in the heart of Cardiff Bay to house immersive and innovative new content and a repositioning exercise to extend and diversify our audiences.

This generalist HR role will support the Business Services Director to deliver a HR, training and wellbeing service. It will also service the Board of Trustees and Committee Meetings including co-ordination of reports, preparation of papers and minutes. The role will also hold responsibility for GDPR across the business and manage the reporting of accidents.

You should be CIPD qualified (or working towards) with exceptional administrative and IT skills, ability to work confidentially and take minutes. Ideally you should be working within a HR department presently.

    Techniquest is an educational charity, with a science centre in Cardiff Bay. Our mission is to embed science in Welsh culture through interactive engagement. We provide a range of services to schools and teachers to complement formal education provision in Wales and work extensively with public audiences.
