Techniquest has supported Cardiff University’s recent hosting of the prestigious RAE Summer Soiree event in City Hall, Cardiff, where HRH Princess Anne was the guest of honour.
We designed and manufactured an interactive scale model of the Severn estuary measuring 2m x 1.5m, which displays projected data showing the impact of proposed tidal barrage schemes in the area.
Additionally, our workshop collaborated with the School of Engineering to produce a large-scale piece of testing equipment allowing the measurement of head impacts from falls from height. This equipment will be used in the research for the design and development of crash helmets and headgear for sports such as rugby and cycling.
