After Hours: Trick or Treat

Enjoy Techniquest after dark at this Halloween-themed adults-only evening!

As the skies begin to darken, join us for a tantalising night of tricks, treats and spooky surprises as we host our next over-18s event at Techniquest.

Explore over 100 hands-on exhibits and get stuck into a cauldron-full of extra activities that will keep you entertained all night long.

Special guests from the Royal Society of Chemistry and Cardiff University will be sharing the science of sherbet, slime and chocolate with us: discover why chocolate is one of our favourite things, how chemists put the fizz into fabulous sweet treats, and make the most of your chance to create your very own gorgeously gooey slime…

Our live science show promises to conjure up an eerie atmosphere in the science theatre to generate goosebumps galore, and we’ll be welcoming back our friends from Chance & Counters to explore a few spooky board games with us too.

Your welcome drink on arrival is on us, and you can choose from a glass of bubbles, soft drink or a special potion-themed cocktail. There’s a pay-bar and food station on site too, complete with gluten-free and vegetarian options, along with a hot drinks and sweet bites point to make the ‘treat’ part of your night unbeatable.

Add in the traditional Techniquest quiz, you and your friends, plus a few extra surprises from us and you’ve got all the ingredients for a fiendishly good night out!
