Over-50s Science Café is back, and this time it’s going to be out of this world…
Come and join us on a journey of discovery and learn something new about the cosmos at Techniquest this summer.
Created exclusively for adults of a more mature vintage, the over-50s Science Café gives you time to use our fascinating interactive exhibits without a child in sight: learn new things, attempt our most perplexing puzzles, stimulate those ‘little grey cells’ and enjoy the experience of hands-on science with us.
Joining you on the exhibition floor will be academics from Cardiff University, members of the Cardiff Astronomical Society and representatives of Space Forge, the Cardiff-based space technology company with a mission to defy gravity and explore the infinite possibilities of in-space manufacturing.
You can also book a place in the Planetarium for a short tour of the night sky, with a Live Science Host using our 4K Projector to illuminate the universe and lead you across the galaxies on a Star Tour.
Included in the price of your ticket is a hot drink of your choice, served in Coffee Mania which can be reached through the Techniquest main foyer.
