It’s time for a health-check at Techniquest!
Join us for an afternoon focused on health as we welcome experts from Cancer Research Wales, Cardiff Mind, Diabetes UK, British Heart Foundation and Save a Life Cymru to help us explore the fields of physical and mental health.
You’ll have the chance to learn about heart and circulatory disease, try out the ‘know your own risk’ toolkit for diabetes, and even step inside a giant inflatable bowel.
Whether you want to delve deeper into science for your own interest, or to impress the grandchildren next time you bring them on a trip to us, you’ll have plenty time to try out all of our interactive exhibits for yourself on this afternoon dedicated to grown-ups of a more mature vintage.
You can even get hands-on in our KLA Lab and try some experiments for yourself with our DNA Decoded workshops.
Instead of our usual Star Tours in the Planetarium, we’ll be using the space to show an immersive 360° animated film that acts as an introduction to the cells of the human body, the building-blocks of life.
It won’t break the bank: for just £5, as well as having up to three hours to explore the exhibition floors and take part in those additional activities, your ticket also includes a hot drink in Coffee Mania, right next door — and you’ll gain a wealth of knowledge from the experience too.
