Opening times

Techniquest will reopen on Saturday 14th November.

Tickets will only be available to book online, with no on-the-door allocation available.

Techniquest will be open from Wednesday to Sunday, with two time slots available each day:

  • 10am – 1pm
  • 2pm – 5pm

Admission prices

In line with the current public health guidance, each visitor will be given a stylus to use when interacting with our new exhibits. The booking fee will help cover these costs for the time being and ensure we can minimise direct hands-on contact. For more information on our current safety measures in place, please click here.

* Techniquest is a registered charity and admission prices includes a voluntary donation of approximately 10%. This enables Techniquest to claim Gift Aid on 100% of the admission charge. All money raised goes towards supporting Techniquest and its aim to make science accessible to everyone.

Travelling by car/coach

Techniquest is located at: Stuart Street, Cardiff, CF10 5BW.

We are pleased to be able to offer all of our visitors discounted parking with Q-Park, our preferred parking partner.

The Q-Park operates the Cardiff Bay car park in Pierhead Street which is around 8 minutes walk from Techniquest.

We have agreed a special discount rate for our customers of 15% off all pre-booked parking using the code TECHNI15.
  Pre-book and guarantee your space here There are other nearby pay-and-display car parks also available, on Stuart Street and Havannah Street. Please do not park on Havannah Street itself.

We regret that there is currently no parking on-site at Techniquest due to the construction work on our Science Capital project for 2020. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. Read more about accessibility.

Travelling by train

There are regular train services from Cardiff Queen Street to Cardiff Bay Station — Techniquest is just a 5 minute walk from Cardiff Bay Station.

Travelling by bus

Take the regular ‘Baycar’ service number 6 from the city centre, or the number 8 from Heath Hospital or the city centre.

Travelling by bike

We provide facilities for bicycle storage at the side of the building. Techniquest cannot accept responsibility for any loss or damage to bicycles that are stored here.
