This summer, we are offering those in receipt of Universal Credit and other qualifying benefits a reduced-price entry to Techniquest as part of our 40th birthday celebrations.
This offer is available for visits between Saturday 11 July 2026 and Wednesday 2 September 2026.
An adult in receipt of Universal Credit or another qualifying benefit may book up to 8 persons in total.
There are a limited number of tickets available per session per day. If there are no tickets available on your preferred visit date, please try selecting another date.
Terms and conditions
Eligibility requirements
The offer is available to anyone in receipt of any of the following:
- Universal Credit
- Working Tax Credit
- Pension Credit
- Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
- Income Support
- Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA)
Proof of Universal Credit (digital or printed)
Please bring any official letter that demonstrates receipt of one or more of the benefits listed above. This would also include supporting identification evidence such as a valid bank card or a letter showing your name and address.
We are happy to accept photographs of letters and virtual bank cards.
Only one person per household needs to show supporting documents.
Conditions of use
- The offer is available for visits between Saturday 11 July 2026 and Wednesday 2 September 2026 inclusive.
- This offer is only available for online pre-booking, and will not be accepted for on-the-door sales.
- The offer is not valid in conjunction with any other offer or discount.
- The offer is a like-for-like General Admission ticket at a reduced rate, giving you access to the exhibition floor and to a Live Science show, subject to availability. Other events are not included in this offer, such as (but not limited to) Late Entry, After Hours, Toddler Days and Home Educator Days.
- Visitors can claim £5 tickets for up to 8 people per household.
- One-time use and evidence/ID will be verified at the point of redemption on the day.
- There are no age restrictions to the offer.
- A limited number of £5 tickets are available for each admissions slot per day.
