Flower and Eggs

There are plenty of places at this time of year where you can hunt down an Easter egg or two — but here at Techniquest we’ll take you on a journey of discovery you won’t find anywhere else!

Eggs come in millions of different shapes, sizes and colours; they’re as varied as the animals that lay them. Here in our Science Theatre, we’ll be finding out about a whole range of fascinating creatures and their eggs: from the most obvious birds that lay your favourite breakfast-time treat, to some really rather special creatures you may not be as familiar with.

Join one of our eggs-cellent presenters as they hatch a show full of fascinating facts and dynamic demos, cracking open a golden opportunity to explore the wonderful world of eggs.

• Age guidance: 5+

  Our live science show presenters adapt to the audience in front of them, so anyone from 5 to 95 should find plenty to engage with!

  You may not find the live demos as relevant for under-5s, but please check with staff before booking if you’re unsure.

• Tickets

  Please note that every show ticket must be booked in conjunction with a valid admissions ticket. Availability is limited, so the best way to guarantee your space is to book in advance.

• Other information

  There is a loud bang at the end of this show. Ear defenders will be given out before the show starts, and plenty of warnings will be given before the bang.
